Jacqueline Harounian Named to Two Super Lawyers Lists for 2012

Jacqueline Harounian, lead attorney and partner at Wisselman, Harounian & Associates, P.C., has recently been nominated to the New York Super Lawyers list as a top attorney for the year 2012. For three consecutive years now, Ms. Harounian has been recognized on this list. She was also given another Super Lawyers title by being named to the 2012 Top 50 Women New York Super Lawyers list.

Super Lawyers is an attorney rating system which names a maximum of only five percent of attorneys in each state. Lawyers are named to this list based on a rigorous process of peer recognition, high personal achievement and objective standards of legal excellence. Ms. Harounian is the only divorce and family lawyer that hails from Long Island who was named to the list.

Ms. Harounian was recognized for her immense achievements in the field. This past year, she had many successful cases, two of which were recognized and placed on the front page of The New York Law Journal. One of these cases, Koegler v. Woodard, was handled by Ms. Harounian in the highest New York State Court- the Court of Appeals.

She got her start at Hofstra School of Law, graduating with honors and in the top ten percent of her class in 1994 with her Juris Doctor. The same year of her graduation, she came to work for our firm as an associate. Then, in 2006, she was named a Partner.
