Overview

Michele Kern-Rappy, Esq. is a seasoned, highly respected ADR professional with over 35 years of experience in the Supreme Court, New York County. Until June 2023, she was the Senior Mediator and Settlement Coordinator at the courthouse, mediating over 6,500 cases involving all aspects of commercial business disputes, Child Victims Act cases, personal injury, employment matters, and family business. 

Additionally, she has served on numerous ADR advisory groups for the court system, including the prestigious Statewide ADR Advisory committee, the Deputy Chief Administrative Judge Honorable Deborah Kaplan’s Tort Advisory Committee, and the ADR Faculty at the Judicial Institution. Furthermore, she served as the former co-chair of the ADR section of the New York Women’s Bar Association, the former co-chair of the attorney advocacy subcommittee of the Dispute Resolution Section of the New York State Bar Association, and a member of the NYCBA Dispute Resolution Committee. She is also an Interdisciplinary Collaborative Attorney who was a member of the Board of Directors of FDMC, Family and Divorce Mediation Council, and is a member of the prestigious Interdisciplinary Forum and the NYACP and the IACP. Michele is also a member of a wide variety of rosters including the New York County Civil and Commercial Division, Nassau County, Richmond County, Buffalo County, Bronx County, and the New York Appellate Division, First Department.
