Some of the most painful and destructive forces in a family are mental health challenges that contribute to suicide and drug overdoses. The stigma and shame that suffering individuals must endure is amplified in traditional, religious, and image-conscious communities.
Join us for a short presentation and a panel discussion with local experts and community leaders to learn about useful steps that anyone can take to assist individuals in distress. At the town hall meeting, panelists will offer attendees critical suicide prevention information, tips, and resources. Afterward, the audience can participate in a Q &A session with the panel.
If you are looking for more information about mental illness, suicide risks, and effective interventions, don’t miss the Great Neck “Suicide Prevention Town Hall Meeting”.
