Attorney Jordan Trager: Guest Speaker in Jamaica in Honor of National Dads Take Your Child to School Day

Family Law

In honor of National Dads Take Your Child to School Day, Attorney Jordan Trager will be a volunteer guest speaker at Basie Middle School in Jamaica, New York. National Dads Take Your Child to School Day is built on the belief that fathers make a significant impact on their children’s lives when they are involved on a day-to-day basis. The foundation believes that when fathers participate in simple activities, like dropping their children off at school, children are more inclined to achieve academic success by developing the appropriate behaviors and social skills. In addition, the foundation states that father involvement helps children to receive more A’s, enjoy their education, stay in school, and continue their education.

In 2013, more than 11,400 father figures, including fathers, step-fathers, and significant caregivers, throughout the state of New York participated in these types of events. As of now, roughly 478 Head Start Programs, schools, and community-based organizations host various activities to get children and dads more involved with each other. The foundation encourages fathers to continue practicing involvement with their children and the community because of the positive force and influences they can bring to a child’s life.
