Law Partner Harounian Moderates “Suicide Prevention Town Hall” Expert Panel in Great Neck

General

Suicide prevention and awareness is an important subject that needs to be on everyone’s minds. Mental health challenges and substance abuse issues are highly stigmatized and the source of shame and embarrassment for individuals and families. Referrals and resources are available to bring hope and healing.

To help bring attention to suicide and understanding to what is causing the dramatic rise in our society, North Shore Action is sponsoring the upcoming “Suicide Prevention Town Hall Meeting: Hope & Healing” at the Great Neck Library. The event will begin at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 14th, 2018.

Other panelists who will join Attorney Harounian include Ellen Ritz, the vice president of the Queens/Nassau chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Teresa Buhse, the Director of The Long Island Crisis Center, Dr. Maddy Gould of Columbia University, who is nationally renowned suicide prevention expert, and Dr. Shiphra Bakhshi, anxiety-depression treatment psychologist, and others. In addition to her role as a panelist for the upcoming “Suicide Prevention Town Hall Meeting,”
